H2 is seeking an IT Operations Supervisor to manage and oversee the quality of all Operations services and deliverables in a large scale IT environment. This position will be located on-site at Saufley Field, Pensacola and will provide software development support to our government client. Please note: The work schedule is clearly defined for this position as 0600 - 1430 (cst) Wednesday - Sunday.

The IT Operations Supervisor responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing the quality of all Operation services and deliverables in a large scale IT environment

  • Overseeing the implementation of current NIPR and SIPR standard operating procedures (SOP) and performing the technical procedures necessary to maintain the daily operations of an enterprise level network and data center.

  • Overseeing the monitoring of NIPR and SIPR enterprise environment for error indicators and escalate discrepancies to device and application owners in order to assist with troubleshooting and recovery.

  • Providing daily supervision and direction to staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of Microsoft Server 2008-2012

  • Attending weekly meetings with data center managers to report and discuss current and ongoing issues with technical, facility, and strategic planning within the NIPR and SIPR environments.

  • Preparing and review operational and progress reports

  • Overseeing the maintenance and updating of manuals, which contain comprehensive instructions for routine and unusual situations.

  • Providing training and development support to junior IT Operations Technicians

  • Ensuring compliance with Government security, fire and emergency procedures and regulations

  • Monitoring fire detection CO2 system

  • Monitoring and operating computer electronic digital computers to process business, scientific, engineering, or other data according to operating instructions.

  • Ensuring that correct peripheral equipment is utilized; moving switches to clear system and operating equipment appropriately.

  • Observing equipment, storage devices, printers, and control panels for operator messages or error indicators.

  • Setting up and running diagnostic test and reacting appropriately to the messaging and reporting errors or machine malfunctions as required.

  • Performing work incidental to machine operations such as maintain production records, replenishing specified stock items, and distributing output materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate-s Degree or equivalent combination of education and (6) years of related experience.

  • Must have experience with:

  • MS Office Suite 2016

  • MS Server 2008/2012

  • Symantec NetBackUp

  • IT Ticketing System, such as Remedy

  • Nice to have experience includes:

  • Intermapper Monitoring Software

  • Lennel Alarming Monitoring System

  • ScienceLogic EM7 Monitoring Software

  • Symantex NetBackUp

  • Altiris

  • Clearance Level: Active Secret Security Clearance is required at time of application

  • Certification Requirement: IAT Level II (CCNA-Security or GICSP or CSEC or Security+ or SSCP)
