Pensacola Bay Support Services, a Joint Venture of IAP Worldwide Services and EMCOR Government Services, has been awarded the Pensacola Base Operations Support Contract.
The Mechanical Branch Supervisor monitors and supervises an assigned maintenance crew and coordinates with project management team.
Essential Job Functions:
Analyzes deficiencies in equipment and supervises necessary repairs.
Supervises technicians while they inspect equipment as necessary. Conducts repairs or replaces faulty components as needed, using a variety of hand tools and equipment.
Completes mechanical repairs or improvements on a variety of processes, equipment, fixtures, and unit operations.
Provides technical/operational guidance to ensure compliance with the PWS, while delivering desired results.
Oversees the preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Evaluates maintenance requests, sets priorities, and processes work assignments.
Inspects and tests facility components for proper operation IAW manufacturer’s specifications.
Inspects hydraulic systems for wear, leaks, and proper fluid level IAW manufacturer’s specifications.
Working with sheet metal parts, repairs and installs hydraulic, pneumatic parts, and systems.
Assists technicians with changing bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, cylinders, and other interchangeable components.
Guides technicians in the performance of basic pipefitting, plumbing, threading, and layout.
Implements a preventive maintenance program and follows through on maintenance repairs.
Assists in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs.
Implements Lean manufacturing principles.
Acts as project Duty Manager for multiple installation coverage. Directs after hours, weekend, and holiday work requirements on a rotational basis.
Education & Experience:
- Two (2) year degree in the mechanical field or a completed accredited apprenticeship and/or five (5) years of experience in mechanical maintenance field.
Licenses & Certifications:
- P.E. Certification is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must have knowledge of hydraulic systems and be proficient in blue print reading and troubleshooting of mechanical operations of equipment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be available to be on call and assist personnel in times of emergency and business needs.
