Full Time Position: Must be eligible for direct-hire without sponsorship.


Creates, configures, modifies, and administers data warehouse/data mart models with little or no supervision. Provides support to the data warehouse/data marts.

Designs, codes, and tests by applying knowledge of design standards and management systems. Designs and codes complex TSQL for SQL Server to include query tuning and data warehouse/mart table maintenance. Assists in research and implementation of new productivity software and techniques. Assists in improving and analyzing ETL processing. Follow approved SDLC and project management methodology. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a new database. Proactively monitors Data Warehouse/Data Marts to meet customer defined expectations. Demonstrates understanding of advanced Warehouse concepts/vocabulary. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of clients business functions. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Comprehends instructions and completes tasks as directed. Meets predetermined deadlines set for assigned tasks. Serves as a technical resource to others. Reviews and gives advice concerning database coding patterns used in application programs. Maintains a competent level of technical knowledge about database management systems, indexing fundamentals, programming languages, and structured techniques. Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Performs project tasks to ensure that associated deliverables are completed in a timely manner. Assists in disaster recovery activities and participates in the design of emergency procedures. Creates documentation in accordance with tasks performed. Ensures written communication is accurate, timely and thorough. Adheres to accepted standards and procedures. Serves as a mentor/trainer for a DBA I and/or DBA II.

Required Skills:

Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional experience OR 6 or more years professional experience is required. Strong written and oral communications skills. Experience with using, writing, and debugging complex stored procedures. Experience in performance tuning and supporting application debugging. Ability to ensure data quality through comprehensive testing. Strong experience in Star Schema Design, E-R Modeling, and ETL processing. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to translate business requirements into a technical architecture using common business tool sets. Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate and perform with little or no supervision and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in OO development, SSRS . Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
